Free Shiping Day 12-17-2010

I had a dream  in which I owned a butcher shop - which if you know me... ya.. not really my thing.
But as it turns out, to my relief, I only gutted fruits like  strawberries and apples.
So wearing full butcher apron, wielding teensy tiny butcher knives and an adept knowledge of their "parts", I toiled my days away gutting and parting out fruit.

Did I mention this was also, or seemed to be, set in about the 1800s. I was scoffed at for having a mans job and my only paying customers were woman who showed ankle.

I didn't walk to work, or ride a horse ad or wagon.. but Flinstoned it in an apple shaped buggy with a gerbil cage where the glove box could have been. Being that it was a large town with a lot of trees, I spent far too much time dodging acorns, chestnuts and people dumping "liquids" from their open windows. And of course the way to work was played out like an old school side scrolling Nintendo game..
I so rocked the game...

Winter skin care tips:

Sunscreen: The winter sun can be just as damaging o your skin, if not more so, than summer sun. Loads of facial moisturizer have sunscreen already built in but the rest of your skin that is bared to the elements still need sunblock as well. Remember that the skin on your hands is thinner than on most parts of the body so it most certainly needs extra protection and care.

Humidifier: Having a humidifier running in your home and or office over the winter can be very helpful in curbing dry skin. Cool weather brings dryer air in the home and out. Between below freezing temperatures and Central heating systems there is not a lot of moisture the air causing the skin to dry out that much faster.

Cleansing: Natural skin oil is vital to good skin & many soaps are known to strip all these oils away and make your skin feel stretchy and dry. Bauble Bath's handmade Shea butter and Olive soaps not only get you clean, but leave behind a barrier of protection, a bit of oil, to keep and build that protective barrier to keep moisture in the skin while still getting you clean.

Moisturizer: In the winter a good oil based moisturizer rather than water or glycerin based, is preferred as it will help to create a barrier to keep moisture in your skin. Remember that you should exfoliate at least once a week to rub away dead skin cells so that moisturizers can sink in faster and deeper to do the job they were meant to do.

Quick and easy dry skin mask:
1/2 avocado
2 tsp honey
splash of lemon juice
Splash of cream or Milk

Mash the avocado till smooth and add remaining ingredients and mix well.
To use: smooth over face and neck and let sit for at least 15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and apply facial moisturizer as usual.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

3 Pomegranate solid Organic sugar scrub bars.

A fragrant blend of Pomegranate, cedar woods, roses, blackberries, amber and spices.
These are actually scented with a popular pomegranate fragrance from a national chain store... rarely will I ever use a duplicated fragrance... not really really my thing... but this one has grown on me.. in a huge way.

I look forward to getting out of bed in the morning and using these scrub bars... the soap... the bath bombs... you know, just about anything.

Don't forget your coupon code, "cheer" when making your order to receive your 25% off.
