Winter skin care tips:

Sunscreen: The winter sun can be just as damaging o your skin, if not more so, than summer sun. Loads of facial moisturizer have sunscreen already built in but the rest of your skin that is bared to the elements still need sunblock as well. Remember that the skin on your hands is thinner than on most parts of the body so it most certainly needs extra protection and care.

Humidifier: Having a humidifier running in your home and or office over the winter can be very helpful in curbing dry skin. Cool weather brings dryer air in the home and out. Between below freezing temperatures and Central heating systems there is not a lot of moisture the air causing the skin to dry out that much faster.

Cleansing: Natural skin oil is vital to good skin & many soaps are known to strip all these oils away and make your skin feel stretchy and dry. Bauble Bath's handmade Shea butter and Olive soaps not only get you clean, but leave behind a barrier of protection, a bit of oil, to keep and build that protective barrier to keep moisture in the skin while still getting you clean.

Moisturizer: In the winter a good oil based moisturizer rather than water or glycerin based, is preferred as it will help to create a barrier to keep moisture in your skin. Remember that you should exfoliate at least once a week to rub away dead skin cells so that moisturizers can sink in faster and deeper to do the job they were meant to do.
